Amid the AI boom, ASML ( ASML ) is arguably the most important company in the world. Essentially, all advanced chips are produced with ASML lithography technologies. Samsung ( SSNLF ), TSMC (NYSE: TSM ), and Intel all have large foundry businesses, and they rely extensively on ASML as far as cutting-edge chips are concerned. ASML essentially has a total monopoly, so it doesn't matter which foundries find the most success. If TSMC remains in the lead? Great!
