The company's rareearth deposits, particularly at Carina, offer significant advantagesdue to a simple extraction process involving clays, water, andammonium sulphate, bypassing the issue of radioactivity. Thesedeposits are valuable for containing scarce elements critical for asustainable future.
Recentdevelopments include the completion of processing Carina clays in thecompany's pilot plant in Concepción, Chile, which is a stepforward in showcasing the product's quality.
Additionally, Aclara has initiated adrilling campaign to potentially expand its $168 million resourcebase, with results expected soon.
The company emphasizessustainability in its mineral harvesting process, claiming to producethe world's cleanest rare earths by avoiding explosives, crushing,and milling, thereby minimizing its carbon footprint. Water isrecycled with 95% efficiency, and any additional water needed issourced from utility companies, avoiding natural sources. A 99%recycling efficiency for fertiliser ensures zero tailings, with thebyproduct being spin clays that are returned to the site forreforestation efforts using native species, aligning with localenvironmental values.
