- AeroClean ( NASDAQ: AERC ) said on Wednesday the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved its P?rgo air purifier for use to eliminate SARS-CoV-2, the RNA virus that causes COVID-19, from indoor environments.
- The Company has also begun efficacy testing on viruses such as influenza and respiratory syncytial virus.
- The company's P?rgo air purifier is classified as a Class II Medical Device and uses HEPA filtration and germicidal UV-C LED air sanitization to eliminate harmful airborne microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
