AERC - AeroClean stock rockets 160% after starting session in negative territory
AeroClean Technologies (AERC) stock was highly volatile Tuesday, sliding in early morning trading before rocketing nearly 160% by mid-afternoon in the wake of an FDA approval for its Purgo air purification technology. Shares of AeroClean opened at $4.30, hitting a session low of $3.85 before zooming up to a high of $14.23 by mid-afternoon. The stock recently changed hands at $12.05, up 158%, at approximately 2:15 p.m. ET. AeroClean shares closed 50% higher on Tuesday after it announced that it had received FDA clearance for its proprietary air sanitization technology, Purgo, which is pronounced “pure-go”. The company raised $25M through an initial public offering on Nov. 24 that saw its shares soar 700%. The stock plunged on Nov. 30, however, and had been trading mostly lower before Monday.
