ALTA - Altamira Gold says it has 'drill-ready' options following encouraging results from Santa Helena

Altamira Gold Corp CEO Michael Bennettjoined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with an update on theexploration program for copper and gold at the company's SantaHelena project in Brazil in Mato Grosso State.

Bennett said exploration results haveconfirmed the coincidence of anomalous geochemical and geophysicalresponses at all three new areas surveyed using ground magnetics andadd to the compelling target previously identified in Area 1.

Altamira now has an impressive inventoryof "drill-ready" options to test for porphyry-style coppermineralization, he added.

Theregional structural location, and widespread association withlarge-scale alteration features, consistent with porphyry-styleintrusive systems are very encouraging at this stage of exploration,Bennett said in a statement. The design of a scout drilling programmeis underway.

"We continue toadvance our copper exploration activities in parallel with our mainfocus at the Maria Bonita gold discovery," he said.

Bennettalso provided an update on ongoing exploration at the company'smain Cajueiro gold project.
