AMX - América Móvil expanding 5G to 12 new Brazilian cities

América Móvil's (AMX +1.9%) Claro unit is expanding 5G coverage to 12 new cities in Brazil. That follows a summer run for the service in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The 5G coverage will be available in all regions of Brazil by year-end, the company says. Its "DSS" 5G coverage uses existing frequencies and towers that were originally deployed for 4G use, the company says.
