ANIP - ANI Pharma's generic cholesterol-lowering drug gets FDA approval

• The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved ANI Pharmaceuticals' ( NASDAQ: ANIP ) generic cholesterol-lowering drug, Colestipol Hydrochloride Tablets USP 1 g.
• The company said its Colestipol Hydrochloride tablets are the generic version of the reference listed drug (RLD) Colestid.
• "We are pleased to expand our generics portfolio with the launch of Colestipol, bringing to market a product with a limited number of suppliers," said ANI President and CEO Nikhil Lalwani.
• ANIP +2.01% to 39.60 premarket April 4
