BGRY - Berkshire Grey confirms SoftBank interest to buy company for $1.30 per share
- Robot maker Berkshire Grey ( NASDAQ: BGRY ) confirmed it had received a non-binding indication of interest from SoftBank Group ( OTCPK:SFTBY ) to acquire all its shares for $1.30 per share in cash.
- SoftBank currently has a 28.1% stake in the company. ( BGRY ) market capitalization is $408.8M.
- BGRY is also evaluating various alternative options, including potential financing transactions.
- "No assurance can be given that a definitive transaction with respect to SoftBank’s indication of interest or any other potential transaction will eventually be consummated," the company said , adding that it was evaluating various alternatives and in consultation with its financial and legal advisors.
- ( BGRY ) is trading 3.1% higher after the bell.
