OSTKO - Big Changes Coming For The GICS Consumer Discretionary And Consumer Staples Sectors

• The GICS sector classification system will be making significant changes to its Consumer Discretionary and Consumer Staples sectors.
• The Internet & Direct Marketing Retail subsector is being discontinued and alternative subsectors are assigned to stocks currently listed in that sector.
• Target, Dollar General, and Dollar Tree are being moved to the Consumer Staples sector. Several other stocks are also leaving the Consumer Discretionary sector.
• We list the ETFs most likely to be affected by this change when it becomes effective in March 2023. The ETFs may adjust their holdings before that time.
