CCLAF - Coca-Cola European Partners makes $6.6B offer for Coca-Cola Amatil
Coca-Cola Amatil (CCLAF) confirms it received a takeover proposal from Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) that values the Australian bottler at A$9.23B (US$6.6B).Coca-Cola European Partners' independent shareholders would receive A$12.75/share in cash, an 18.6% premium to Coca-Cola Amatil's last closing price, while the Coca-Cola Company (KO) would receive A$9.57/share in cash for its 10.8% stake; CCEP says it would "work with" KO to acquire all of KO's remaining 20% shareholding in CCL.CCL has 32 production facilities and operates in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Samoa.
