CUB - Cubic accepts $75/share Veritas-Evergreen offer

Cubic (CUB) says it accepts the revised acquisition proposal from Veritas Capital and Evergreen Coast Capital at $75/share in cash, valuing the deal at ~$3B.After considering the $78/share acquisition offer from ST Engineering, Cubic's board says that, "based on the superior certainty and anticipated timing of closing the existing transaction with Veritas and Evergreen," the latter proposal was in the best interests of Cubic shareholders."Cubic is a long-term value creator, which is probably not on the radar of many investors," The Value Investor writes in a neutral analysis published on Seeking Alpha.
