CUB - Cubic hits session highs on report of bidding war between Elliott and Singapore Technologies

Cubic Corp. (CUB) gained 1.3% after a report that the Veritas/Ellliott group that agreed to buy the company last month raised its offer as did competing bidder Singapore Technologies Engineering.Veritas Capital and Elliott raised its offer to $72/share from original deal at $70 and Singapore upped its unsolicited offer to $78 from an earlier offer of $76, according to a WSJ report.Recall March 22, Cubic gets takeover proposal from ST Engineering for $76/share.
