• Global electric car sales for Dec. 2021 - up ~80% YoY, reaching 15% share. China sales up 125% YoY to 21% share. Europe sales flat YoY, hit a record 29% share.
• EV market news - China 2022 NEV subsidies policy will terminate on December 31, 2022. BloombergNEF forecasts just over 10 million plug-in vehicle sales in 2022, ~14% market share.
• EV company news - Tesla, the global No 1 seller in 2021 with ~936,000, 1.5m possible in 2022. BYD sets a target to sell up to 1.2 million NEVs in 2022.
