GLNG - Golar LNG reportedly signs deal with Nigeria's NNPC for floating LNG plant

Golar LNG ( NASDAQ: GLNG ) +11.1% in Thursday's trading after Nigeria's NNPC state oil firm said it signed a memorandum of understanding with the company to build a floating liquefied natural gas plant in the country.
NNPC provided no further details but said on Twitter that the MoU was signed by its chief executive Mele Kyari and Golar CEO Karl Fredrik Staubo in the federal capital Abuja.
Golar LNG ( GLNG ) previously has indicated plans to set up a power project in Nigeria that could use one of its vessels to import liquefied natural gas.
