APP - Hot Stocks: TWTR sells MoPub to APP; IAC/MDP deal; LEVI earnings; CEO leaving CTXS; AVT loses Maxim business
A couple of M&A deals highlighted Thursday's pre-market trading. Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) announced a deal to sell its MoPub unit to AppLovin (NASDAQ:APP). Meanwhile, InterActivCorp (NASDAQ:IAC) reached an agreement to combine its DotDash with the National Media Group from Meredith Corp. (NYSE:MDP). In other news, Levi Strauss (NYSE:LEVI) gained ground before the opening bell, boosted by the release of strong quarterly results. Turning to some of the pre-market losers, Citrix Systems (NASDAQ:CTXS) dropped after announcing the departure of its CEO. At the same time, Avnet (NASDAQ:AVT) dipped on the impending loss of Maxim's business. Gainers Twitter (TWTR) has reached a deal to sell its MoPub unit, which provides monetization solutions to mobile apps, to AppLovin (APP). APP will pay $1.05B in cash to make the purchase.
