• The largest vehicle segment globally, and next after pickup trucks in the U.S., is the compact SUV, which has been led by the Toyota RAV4 in recent years.
• In the first quarter of 2021, Honda, Nissan, Kia+Hyundai and Ford all grew much faster than the segment’s 20% average, whereas Toyota grew “only” 17%.
