XLNX - Investors eagerly await Slack/Salesforce DOJ approval China OK of Maxim/Analog Devices
Stephen Lam/Getty Images News Investors are eagerly anticipating Dept. of Justice approval for Salesforce's (CRM) planned almost $28B purchase of Slack Technologies (WORK) as well as Chinese approval for Analog Devices (ADI) planned acquisition of Maxim Integrated (MXIM). This week the Maxim/Analog Devices deal has a so-called walk date, where the parties have the right to terminate the deal, though typically these are extended. Investors have been expecting China would approve the deal and their have been reports in recent months that the China's antitrust agency was close to blessing the combination. Earlier this month, there was a report that the timing for China's State Administration for Market Regulation to approve the deal may be pushed out, though the report said the deal is still likely to get through.
