• Humans have caused “unprecedented” and “irreversible” climate change already.
• Every additional ton of CO2 or methane released makes things worse.
• Net zero emissions must be achieved as soon as possible to mitigate out of control climate change.
• This means exit from fossil fuel exploitation as a matter of urgency. Delay is not an option.
• This makes for confronting decisions by Governments and the fossil fuel industry, but also a huge opportunity for renewable energy and technologies to manage their adoption.
