JSDA - Jones Soda to Launch Cannabis-infused Products Under Mary Jones Brand

Jones Soda (OTCQB: JSDA) has launched a new brand named Mary Jones, which features cannabis-infused sodas, gummies, and syrups. According to management, the launch will take place in California on April 1, filling a gap in the market between micro-dose brands and high-potency brands by introducing a variation of products and doses.

The current Mary Jones products include a 10mg cannabis-infused soda, a 100mg cannabis-infused soda , a 1000mg syrup cannabis tincture, and 5mg cannabis-infused gummies.

California has a nearly USD4 Billion legal cannabis market. Blair stated that almost a third of Californians shop in dispensaries, providing a good-sized market for its products.

Californians are often considered health-conscious shoppers. However, Blair believes that current cannabis drinks, made with a low dosage and little flavor, open the doors to customers looking for cannabis beverages full of flavor.

“Health claims aren’t our equity, full flavor is,” Blair said. “We had some conversations early on: Should we be putting CBD in this? And no, it’s not who we are.”

“If we crack it in California, we’re going to do gangbusters as we go through the Midwest and East,” he added.
