PHG - Philips confirms appointment of Roy Jakobs as next President and CEO

In a scheduled Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders today, Royal Philips ( NYSE: PHG ) appointed Roy Jakobs as the company’s next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 15, 2022 .
He will be succeeding current President and Chief Executive Officer Frans van Houten.
Jakobs currently serves as executive vice president and chief business leader of Connected Care at Philips and has led the company's initiative for the voluntary recall of respiratory devices.
