SUNL - Sunlight Financial surges 45% on report of takeover interest from Pagaya

• Pagaya Technologies ( NASDAQ: PGY ) is evaluating a takeover of Sunlight Financial ( NYSE: SUNL ), a company which helps homeowners finance rooftop solar panels. Sunlight Financial jumped 45%.
• Pagaya ( PGY ) has expressed interest in Sunlight ( SUNL ), thought it's unclear if the company will be receptive or if a deal will be reached, according to a Bloomberg report on Thursday, which cited people familiar.
• Pagaya ( PGY ) told Bloomberg that it "continues to explore opportunities that are accretive" to its business. Pagaya rose 3.5%.
