XPER - TiVo inks multi-year deal with Sharp Corp to power smart TVs

Entertainment technology company TiVo, also a unit of Xperi ( NYSE: XPER ), Wednesday said Sharp Corp will launch smart TVs powered by TiVo as part of a multi-year, multi-million-unit agreement.
Sharp’s line of smart TVs integrated with TiVo’s operating system will help the consumer with a simplified, universal content discovery, the company added.
The first TVs are expected to ship in 2024 starting in Europe.
