Coming off the heels of a strong retail sales report, economic reports of interest in the week ahead include looks at the housing market, the Conference Board's leading economic index and IHS Markit's update on manufacturing and services purchasing managers' indexes. GM's (NYSE:GM) Hummer event and six new EV-related SPACs are also likely to be big talking points. Finally, a quick look at the calendar shows that Monday is October 19. That rings a bell. IBM (NYSE:IBM) and Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) on October 19; Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT), Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG), Philip Morris International (NYSE:PM), UBS (NYSE:USB), Snap (NYSE:SNAP), Netflix (NFLX) and Travelers Companies
