• The economic calendar is loaded with important reports - all of the biggest. It will be the last official employment report before the election.
• The first Presidential debate is on Tuesday. I expect wide viewership but little market reaction.
• The economic data continue to emphasize a changed direction rather than the magnitude of the change. The employment numbers remain suspect.
• It is a good time to review what we actually know about the pandemic, the economy, and corporate earnings.
• My chronology will demonstrate an evidence-based development of conclusions which later became political footballs.
