Fund seeks high current income. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objectives by investing, under normal market conditions, at least 80 percent of its managed assets (i.e., net assets plus the principal amount of loans to the Fund from financial institutions or debt securities issued by the Fund, the liquidation preference of preferred shares issued by the Fund, if any, and the proceeds of any reverse repurchase agreements entered into by the Fund) (Managed Assets) in real estate-related investments and preferred and other income securities.
