Walmart Inc (NYSE: WMT) will likely expand its range of prepaid phone plans in collaboration with MobileX, a wireless service introduced earlier this year by Peter Adderton, one of the founders of Boost. Walmart will become MobileX's exclusive retail partner.
MobileX, which relies on Verizon Communications Inc's (NASDAQ: VZ) network through a wholesale agreement, will be accessible online on Walmart's website and in physical stores starting Tuesday.
