PSN - Parsons Wins Position On $200M U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Environmental Contract | Benzinga
CHANTILLY, Va., Oct. 23, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Parsons Corporation (NYSE:PSN) announced today that the company was awarded a position on a $200 million indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity multiple award task order contract by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District. The five-year contract is for studies, investigations, and design work in support of the USACE environmental mission, including Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) investigations at Department of Defense (DOD) sites, and represents new work for the company.
"Parsons is a trusted solutions provider for the most complex environmental challenges around the world," said Jon Moretta, president, Engineered Systems, for Parsons. "We look forward to leveraging our resources and expertise in support of the Corps' environmental mission to restore ecosystems, clean up contaminated sites, and deliver a greener, more sustainable world for future generations."
Under this contract, Parsons will be eligible for task order awards that support USACE environmental and related responsibilities, including PFAS investigations at DOD sites nationwide.
Parsons is a leader in mitigating emerging contaminants, including PFAS that are widely detected in soil, groundwater, and surface water, and associated with activities including industrial production and processes. The company has supported the USACE environmental mission for decades, and earlier this year, was awarded a contract to provide technical design and engineering, permitting, and delivery of a new Explosive Decomposition Chamber facility at Holston Army Ammunition Plant. The emission-controlled thermal treatment facility will process the hazardous explosive waste streams in an environmentally friendly manner.
