VJET - 3D printing stocks drop after ExOne acquisition-driven rally
3D printing stocks are pulling back today after consolidation in the space earlier this week and Voxeljet (VJET -5.6%) returning to near pre-pandemic sales levels. Peers on the move during late afternoon trading include 3D Systems (DDD -9.2%), Stratasys (SSYS -5.9%), Desktop Metal (DM -4.9%) and ExOne (XONE -2.6%). On Wednesday, Desktop Metal announced plans to acquire additive manufacturing peer ExOne in a deal valued at $575 million. Yesterday, Dealreporter suggested that Voxeljet was the potential next M&A target in the space, though the 3D printing company didn't mention any potential sale plans or suitors during its earnings call.
