AIR - AAR secures captains of industry contract from Defense Logistics Agency
- AAR ( NYSE: AIR ) said Tuesday it was awarded a captains of industry contract with the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency to provide global supply chain support to the Dept. of Defense and U.S. allies.
- The 20-year contract incorporates total supply chain support strategies including parts supply, performance-based logistics, engineering and technical solutions, among others.
- The contract will enable new AIR/OEM partnerships with DLA, allowing open information sharing, identification of opportunities and contractual execution of sustainment solutions.
- Captains of industry contracts are holistic support pacts with built-in performance metrics to improve readiness for weapon systems.
