Achillion Pharmaceuticals (ACHN) had received Breakthrough Therapy Designation from the FDA for its drug danicopan for the treatment of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria ((PNH)). This indication was given because of positive preliminary data, from a phase 2 study, that was released several months ago at a medical meeting.
