ACM - AECOM's JV to design the Western Harbour Tunnel in Sydney

Infrastructure consulting firm AECOM ( NYSE: ACM ) said Wednesday its joint venture with Aurecon will work on the detailed design of the proposed Western Harbour Tunnel in Sydney.
The contract was awarded by Acciona Construction Australia.
"The new 6.5-kilometer Western Harbour Tunnel is expected to cut traffic by 35 percent in the Western Distributor, 20 percent in the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, and 17 percent on the Harbour Bridge," the company said in a statement.
Other financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
