NTDOY - After delays Super Nintendo World to open at Universal Studios Japan
Universal Studios Japan (CMCSA -0.3%) is set to open Super Nintendo World, after facing a number of delays from the COVID-19 pandemic. The theme park will open up to guests March 18, but with a series of measures for healthy and safety, including mandatory mask wearing and limited capacity. It features a number of Nintendo-themed (NTDOY -4.4%) attractions, including a Mario Kart ride and an augmented reality ride where visitors fight character Bowser Jr. Universal's other parks (in Hollywood and Orlando, Fla., along with Singapore) will offer Super Nintendo World attractions later. The news comes ahead of an animated Mario movie to come from Nintendo and Universal Pictures.
