On Friday, September 11, at noon EST, the US Department of Agriculture will release its September World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report. The USDA’s monthly missive is the gold standard for producers and consumers as they often make hedging and business decisions on the fundamental data.
Since the August report, the prices of many agricultural commodities futures have appreciated. A falling dollar, the Fed’s shift to tolerate inflation above its 2% target rate, and low interest rates, together with liquidity and stimulus have fueled rallies.
