AGFS - AgroFresh Receives New Regulatory Approvals to Expand its Proven Technologies into New Markets
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- AgroFresh Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:AGFS), a global leader in produce freshness solutions, announced today the expansion of two patent-protected and proven solutions. Near-harvest formulation Harvistaâ„¢ SC received regulatory approval in Australia and pre-transplant technology LandSpringâ„¢ WP obtained approval for tomatoes in California.

The extension of this easy-to-apply formulation will arm Australian growers with the ability to deliver better fruit quality and taste profile, the same capability as their counterparts in the Americas.
LandSpring technology supports seedling quality by easing transplant shock in plants and blocking the effects from early environmental stressors to generate more abundant, higher-quality yields. Growers in most parts of the U.S. have used LandSpring since 2016; now California tomato seedling growers can benefit. California represents approximately 80 percent of the U.S. market for processing tomatoes, marking the recent extension a significant boost in AgroFresh's strategic growth.
