ALKEF - Alkane Resources pleased with high Boda recoveries

Alkane Resources Ltd(ASX:ALK, OTC:ALKEF) MD Nic Earner tells Proactive the company hasestablished a viable flowsheet for the processing of ore from the Bodaand Kaiser gold-copper prospects within its North Molong PorphyryProject (NMPP) in Central New South Wales. Metallurgical test-workcomprising conventional crushing, grinding and flotation circuitsachieved overall recovery of 87.4% of copper and 80.9% of gold forBoda and 79.6% of copper and 70.7% of gold for Kaiser. Meanwhile, ALKhas also reported further broad copper-gold results from drilling atKaiser - the objective is to infill the inferred mineral resourceestimation at the deposit, which currently contains 2.1 million ouncesof gold and 500,000 tonnes of copper.

Earner said: “The high recoveries from the Bodaore are particularly pleasing as the concentrates produced were of asaleable quality with very low impurities, which is another boxticked. Indeed, we consider that the concentrate from this projectwould be in high demand, consistent with other producers in thedistrict.

“The results of thistest-work campaign and the process design criteria generated have beensupplied to an engineering firm for a scoping level estimate of plantdesign and associated cost."
