  • Alkermes' ( NASDAQ: ALKS ) board said that they declined to endorse any of Sarissa Capital Management's three nominees after conducting interviews.
  • The board said it is hoping to find a resolution that would avoid a contested election and proxy battle.
  • "We believe that the current Board has the skills, diversity, and relevant industry experience to oversee the execution of Alkermes' ( ALKS ) strategy, which we believe will continue to deliver value for all our shareholders," said lead independent director Nancy Wysenksi.
  • Earlier in 2023, Sarissa won a proxy battle against Amarin Corp. ( AMRN ).
