LNT - Alliant Energy prices $500M debt offering

• Alliant Energy ( NASDAQ: LNT ) has priced the private offering of $500M of its 3.875% convertible senior notes due 2026.
• The convertible notes will bear interest at a fixed rate of 3.875% per year, payable semiannually in arrears and will mature on March 15, 2026, unless earlier converted or repurchased.
• Each of the initial purchasers will be granted an option to purchase, within a 13-day period from, and including, the date on which the convertible notes are first issued, up to an additional $75M of the notes.
• Net proceeds are expected to be ~$490.9M (or $564.6M if the initial purchasers exercise their option to purchase additional convertible notes in full). The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.
• The offering is expected to close on March 2, 2023, subject to customary closing conditions.
