Germany's Allianz (ALIZF) is said to be looking at the potential for making an offer for Hartford Financial Services (HIG) as a rival bid to Chubb's (CB) bid.Allianz is talking with potential advisers on a possible bid, according to a Bloomberg report. Allianz is interested in Hartford, though it's not sure if wants to get into a bidding war with Chubb.Deliberations are are at preliminary stage and Allianz may decide not to make an offer, Bloomberg reported.On Tuesday, Hartford Financial's board turned down Chubb's proposal.
