ALSN - Allison to provide propulsion tech to Indian Army for their prototype combat vehicle
- Allison Transmission ( NYSE: ALSN ) on Wednesday said it is working with India's Larsen and Toubro ( OTC:LTOUF ) to provide its Allison 3040 MX propulsion solution for the Indian Army’s Futuristic Infantry Combat Vehicle (FICV) prototype.
- The Indian Army intends to procure about 1,750 FICVs over the next two decades, Allison said.
- Allison will manage engineering design, development, fabrication, testing and demonstration of the 3040 MX for the FICV prototype vehicles through 2024.
