AEE - Ameren to add four new projects in its largest-ever solar energy commitment

Ameren ( NYSE: AEE ) unveiled plans Tuesday to build or acquire new solar projects with a combined generation of 550 MW of renewable energy, capable of producing enough energy to supply more than 95K average-sized residential homes.

The company's largest-ever commitment to solar energy will include four projects that will vary in size, with locations in Vandalia, Warren County and Bowling Green in Missouri, as well as Cass County, Illinois, and service starting at different times during 2024-26; terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

The projects are part of the company's planned addition of 2,800 MW in new renewable generation by 2030.

"These projects support our ongoing generation transformation toward more clean energy while maintaining the reliability, resiliency and affordability our customers expect," Ameren Missouri ( AEE ) Chairman and President Mark Birk said.
