HMC - American Honda sales decline more than 50% Y/Y in June and Q2 due to supply issues

• Honda Motors ( NYSE: HMC ) reports U.S. sales slipped 53.6% Y/Y to 71,048 units in June and -50.7% Y/Y to 239,789 units in Q2.
• Car sales -60.6% Y/Y and trucks sales -49% Y/Y for the month.
• Car sales -56.5% Y/Y and trucks sales -47% Y/Y for the quarter.
• Sales in the Honda division down 53.5% Y/Y to 63,864 units in June: Cars -61.9% Y/Y and Trucks -47.6% Y/Y.
• Acura sales for the month -54.8% Y/Y to 7,184 units: Cars -45.9% and Trucks -59%.
• Core models led the way for the Honda brand with CR-V topping 22,000 unitsand Accord over 10,000 units despite challenging supply issues.
• Electrified vehicles sales fell 4.7% Y/Y to 9,063 units.
