American Lithium ([[LIACF]] +15.3%) rallies to multiyear highs after agreeing to acquire Plateau Energy Metals ([[PLUUF]] +50.0%) in an all-stock deal, saying the move establishes its position as a consolidator of development-stage lithium assets in the Americas.American Lithium will acquire all issued and outstanding Plateau common shares on the basis of 0.29 units of American Lithium for each share of Plateau.The acquisition combines American Lithium's TLC lithium project in Nevada and Plateau's Falchani lithium project in Peru, and adds exposure to the Macusani uranium project, which is believed to be the largest uranium deposit in Peru.Yesterday, peer Piedmont Lithium shares rose to all-time highs as Evercore ISI more than doubled its price target to $75 from $36, with a "bull case scenario" of $90.
