PLNT - Apple looks to disrupt exercise space with subscription service
The exercise industry is on watch after Apple (AAPL) announces details on its Fitness+ subscription service built around Apple Watch, which launches on December 14. The service will cost $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. "We're excited for Apple Fitness+ to bring together the metrics from Apple Watch, great music, and a diverse and inspiring trainer team — in a uniquely simple, easy-to-access way across devices — to encourage our users to get fit and stay healthy," says Apple exec Jay Blahnik. Shares of Apple are up 0.75%. Peloton Interactive (PTON), which has recovered very quickly from Apple exercise news in the past, is off 1.57% and Fitbit (FIT) is down 0.15%. Lululemon (LULU), trading flat at the moment, is also now in the exercise subscription space with its new Mirror platform. Planet Fitness (PLNT) is down 1.55% in the early session and Nautilus (NLS) is 1.39% higher. Read the latest bull
