TIGR - Argentinean banks top the biggest financial gainers this week; Pimco CEF falls
The top five financial gainers for the week are topped by two Argentinean banks, and include a Chinese fintech and two companies that provide products to banks to improve their lending processes. The advance of the two Argentina-based banks came a week after economic data that showed the country's economy rebounded more in June than expected. The five biggest gainers among financial companies with market cap over $2B are: Banco Macro (NYSE:BMA) stock gained 21% in the same week it posted Q2 net income of PS 4.6B ($47M), up 90% from Q1; Grupo Financiero Galicia (NASDAQ:GGAL), another Argentinean bank, shares rose 20%; Open Lending (NASDAQ:LPRO), which provides lending-related and analytics solutions to banks and credit unions, saw its stock gain 18%; 360 DigitTech (NASDAQ:QFIN), the China-based fintech made the top financial gainers list for the second week in a row as investors gained more clarity on China's regulatory moves; QFIN stock climbed 14%; and
