Australia ( AS51 ) -0.82% . Investors remain cautious ahead of a key inflation reading in Australia this week, as well as two appearances from Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Michelle Bullock where she is expected to comment on the policy implications of the CPI report.
Singapore's annual inflation rate edged up to 4.1% in September 2023 from August's 19-month low of 4.0%, matching market consensus.
In the U.S. on Friday, all three major indexes ended in the negative territory , as unrest in the Middle East, rising yields and mixed earnings weighed on market sentiment
U.S. stock futures rose on Monday as investors look ahead to corporate earnings reports from mega-cap technology names this week: Dow +0.17% ; S&P 500 +0.25% ; Nasdaq +0.30% .
Investors also geared up for corporate earnings reports from major US technology companies this week, as well as key US GDP and inflation figures that could influence the monetary policy outlook.
