Australian weekly consumer confidence survey falls to 84.4 (prior 84.8).
Private house approvals in Australia shrank on a seasonally adjusted basis by 1.7% month-on-month to 8,506 units in November 2023.
In the U.S. on Friday, all three major indexes ended mixed after four big banks posted downbeat earnings results.
The US, stocks will be open later today following a holiday Monday.
U.S. stock futures eased on Tuesday as investors look ahead to more data and corporate earnings this week to gauge the health of the American economy: Dow -0.36% ; S&P 500 -0.35%; Nasdaq -0.55%.
Investors now await US retail sales data on Wednesday and fresh remarks from Fed officials this week to better gauge the monetary policy outlook. Meanwhile, a European Central Bank official warned on Monday that it may be too soon to cut rates this year given lingering inflation and geopolitical risks.
