In the U.S. on Thursday, all three major indexes ended near the flatline , after a hotter-than-expected inflation print in the US trimmed bets that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates in the first quarter.
Heads up for the US holiday on Monday January 15 - markets closed.
U.S. stock futures eased on Friday as investors look ahead to the latest producer inflation data: Dow -0.05% ; S&P 500 -0.11% ; Nasdaq -0.06% .
Investors now look ahead to Friday’s producer price index report, as well as earnings reports from major banks including JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Bank of America and Wells Fargo.
