AZO - AutoZone receives positive 'tactical trading call' at Evercore

AutoZone ( NYSE: AZO ) presents an interesting opportunity ahead of its late February earnings call, according to Evercore.

The tactical call anticipates a “clean beat” on top and bottom lines for the fiscal second quarter report due on the 28th. Additionally, “ongoing inflation comp tailwinds, pass through power, and cash flow generation” are expected to be reflected in guidance.

“We believe [Advance Auto Parts] ( AAP ) is ceding market share, with AZO and [O’Reilly Automotive] ( ORLY ) two competitors likely to benefit,” the note advised.
