DISH - Aviat Networks gains 2.3% on Dish Network deal for 5G microwave transport

Aviat Networks (AVNW) is up 2.3% after its selection by Dish Network (DISH +0.6%) as a key supplier of 5G microwave transport. That's part of Dish's work toward a nationwide 5G wireless network, a condition for becoming the fourth major national wireless service provider. Dish will deploy Aviat's hardware and software and procure those solutions from the Aviat Store platform. "This microwave-based solution will help deliver the midhaul and backhaul connectivity we need, while excelling in affordability, reliability and resilience," says Dish Network's Jeff McSchooler.
