Avista press release ( NYSE: AVA ): Q1 GAAP EPS of $0.73 misses by $0.43 .
Revenue of $460.14M (+2.5% Y/Y) misses by $25.23M .
“We are confirming our 2023 consolidated earnings guidance with a range of $2.27 to $2.47 per diluted share. Our quarterly earnings will differ from recent history due to how our tax provision is spread throughout the year as a percentage of pre-tax income and the effects of our general rate cases,” Vermillion added.
We expect Avista Utilities to contribute in the range of $2.15 to $2.31 per diluted share for 2023. We expect to be in the deadband of the ERM, with an expected increase to earnings of $0.03 per diluted share.
We expect AEL&P to contribute in the range of $0.08 to $0.10 per diluted share.
We continue to expect the other businesses to contribute in the range of $0.04 to $0.06 per diluted share.
